We are currently seeking a self-driven and motivated high-caliber professional with solid analytical experience to help design and execute data analytics in support of various audit and consultative projects within the Internal Audit function.  The successful candidate will bring their critical thinking and innovative mindset, leveraging data management and analytics to provide inputs for audit planning and execution.  They will also participate in regular control reviews and audit assignments, gradually becoming a dedicated member of the Internal Audit function.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and facilitate the development of data-driven audit analytics
• Work independently with auditees and with minimal supervision to identify data sources for analytics
• Understand data structures, develop and evaluate solutions to extract relevant data to identify risk areas and anomalous transactions
• Develop, test, and implement data queries and analyze the data using database server and desktop solutions
• Visualize data analytics results and findings through visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, FanRuan, PowerBI, Excel, etc.
• Contribute to the continuous auditing ambition by developing automated analytics tools
• Participate in regular control reviews and audit assignments for business operations of the Group in Hong Kong and the Mainland

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree holder (Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Accounting, Mathematics, or similar degrees are preferred)
• Professional qualification such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of solid professional experience in sizable companies or audit/consulting firms
• Prior experience in a data analytics role with hands-on experience working with data
• Working knowledge of business and database applications including Oracle, MS SQL
• Good knowledge of data analytical and mining tools/languages such as SQL, Python, ACL, VBA, PowerBI
• Experience with cloud platforms like AliCloud, AWS or Azure is preferred
• Knowledge and practical experience in IT audit or AI tools are advantageous
• Strong analytical mindset and solid problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• A good team player, proactive and be able to work independently
• Occasional travel to the Mainland is required (40%)
