Responsibilities:

  • Help shape, implement and revise the company’s renewable energy strategy, including research on relevant policies and regulations, liaison with tender participants, coordination of information with local teams, analysis and calculation of cost scenarios and results, and support for briefings and memoranda to senior management;
  • Help implement, maintain, update and communicate an initiative to provide renewable energy information and documentation to tenants;
  • Help advance the company’s efforts to improve energy efficiency throughout its portfolio, including support in developing the business case for various energy efficiency projects, monitoring and analysis of energy performance relative to internal and external benchmarks, and synthesis of findings to support internal and external reporting;
  • Support for the company’s sustainability initiatives with tenants in such areas as carbon reduction, energy efficiency, resource management, and wellbeing;
  • Build relationships and liaise regularly with internal and external stakeholders to support the above initiatives; and
  • Other duties as necessary and/ or assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, Building Services, Environmental Science, or in some other discipline related to sustainability in the built environment
  • 6-8 years’ work experience including at least three years’ experience in renewable energy, energy management, environmental management, green buildings, sustainability strategy, and/or other areas related to sustainability in the built environment. Serious consideration will be given to candidates with less than 6-8 years’ work experience that can demonstrate strong motivation and other relevant personal and professional attributes
  • Knowledge of mainland China’s renewable energy market and/or energy efficiency practices in the built environment will be an advantage
  • A demonstrated capacity for critical thinking, problem solving
  • A capacity for disciplined execution on time-sensitive projects
  • Can work both independently and collaboratively and is proactive in communicating with colleagues to improve work productivity and results
  • Willing to travel to Hong Kong regularly (at least 4-6 times a year) for close collaboration with other team members and other relevant parties
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin, proficiency in Cantonese will be an advantage
