Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing interim and annual consolidated financial reports
• Provide technical support on updates to Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS) and regulatory requirements impacting Group financial statements
• Liaise with auditors on all aspects of accounting and audits
• Lead and supervise a small team to drive enhancements and digitalization in the financial closing process at the group reporting level
• Partner with Chinese Mainland team to streamline accounting and reporting workflows for greater efficiency
• Ensure proper controls are in place for complete and accurate accounting records, including reconciliations, monthly accruals, tax provisions, prepayments, amortization and month-end closing
• Assist in updating group accounting policies
• Perform ad hoc assignments as required

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline and member of HKICPA or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in listed / sizable organizations and work experience at group level is essential.  Experience in big four CPA firms is preferred
• Experience in ERP transformation is highly preferred
• Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and influence peers and leadership based on technical expertise in GL accounting flows
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and excellence
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and possess strong analytical skills
• High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
