As a Risk Management and Insurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our property development and operating projects in Hong Kong and Mainland.  Reporting to the Director – General Counsel and Company Secretary, you will manage insurance policies, oversee claims processes, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure comprehensive risk management strategies are implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Risks Assessment

• Identify potential risks associated with property development projects and ascertain the impact and likelihood of various risks and the appropriate insurance strategies and coverage.
• Keep abreast of the development in the insurance market to identify potential new providers or products that could benefit the company.2. Policies Management
• Review and renew insurance policies.
• Negotiate premiums, coverage and conditions that best suits the evolving company's needs and the legal and regulatory requirements.3. Claims Management
• Oversee the claims process, including filing and tracking claims.
• Negotiate with brokers or loss adjusters to resolve big loss/complex claims efficiently.
• Analyze claims data to identify trends and work with internal business units to improve risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with the in-house legal team to manage litigations effectively.4. Training
• Conduct internal training sessions to raise awareness of insurance issues risk management practices.Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Insurance, Risk Management or related fields.
• Professional insurance qualifications such as ACII or ANZIIF.
• Solid knowledge of insurance laws.
• At least 10 years of experience in general insurance, risk management or related fields. In-house experience with property developers or construction companies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.Good command of written and spoken English and proficiency in Chinese.
