As a Risk Management and Insurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our property development and operating projects in Hong Kong and Mainland. Reporting to the Director – General Counsel and Company Secretary, you will manage insurance policies, oversee claims processes, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure comprehensive risk management strategies are implemented effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Risks Assessment
- Identify potential risks associated with property development projects and ascertain the impact and likelihood of various risks and the appropriate insurance strategies and coverage.
- Keep abreast of the development in the insurance market to identify potential new providers or products that could benefit the company.2. Policies Management
- Review and renew insurance policies.
- Negotiate premiums, coverage and conditions that best suits the evolving company's needs and the legal and regulatory requirements.3. Claims Management
- Oversee the claims process, including filing and tracking claims.
- Negotiate with brokers or loss adjusters to resolve big loss/complex claims efficiently.
- Analyze claims data to identify trends and work with internal business units to improve risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with the in-house legal team to manage litigations effectively.4. Training
- Conduct internal training sessions to raise awareness of insurance issues risk management practices.Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Insurance, Risk Management or related fields.
- Professional insurance qualifications such as ACII or ANZIIF.
- Solid knowledge of insurance laws.
- At least 10 years of experience in general insurance, risk management or related fields. In-house experience with property developers or construction companies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.Good command of written and spoken English and proficiency in Chinese.
