Responsibilities
- Manage the timely and accurate preparation and filing of the group’s tax compliance obligations
- Provide proactive tax advisory support on business transactions, investments, and structuring initiatives across Hong Kong and the Group
- Support transactions and projects by conducting tax due diligence and researching tax-efficient structuring options that align with compliance requirements
- Review, optimize, and monitor group tax structures, and conduct tax risk assessments at the group level
- Track developments in Hong Kong and PRC tax regulations and assess potential implications to the Group
- Manage tax audits, investigations, and enquiries, and coordinate responses with relevant internal teams and external advisors
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors to deliver practical, commercially viable tax solutions
- Provide technical guidance on accounting implications arising from tax and transaction-related matters, where relevant
- Assist in financial management related matters and daily finance operations for the assigned portfolio, ensuring timely preparation and review of management accounts or financial statements
- Perform ad hoc assignments and special projects as required
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline and member of HKICPA or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in listed / sizable organizations, specifically within the real estate sector.
- Solid knowledge of Hong Kong and PRC tax regulations, with strong familiarity in real estate–related tax matters
- Proven ability to provide practical, commercially oriented tax advice on complex transactions
- Strong analytical thinking, business acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, independent and able to operate effectively at a strategic level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
- Candidates with less experience may be considered as Manager - Tax
